How to Send Large Files Without Email Attachments

Email works well for conversation, but large attachments create delivery limits, duplicate copies, and unclear access. A controlled transfer link separates the message from the files and lets the sender define how long access lasts.

Why email attachments break down at scale

Mailbox limits vary between providers, so a file accepted by the sender may still be rejected for the recipient. Large attachments also create separate copies across sent folders, inboxes, forwarding chains, and local downloads.

A transfer link gives the recipient one current location. Expiry, password protection, download limits, and revocation make that link easier to control than a permanent attachment.

  • Keep the email message short and place delivery controls on the transfer.
  • Choose an expiry that gives the recipient enough time without leaving access open indefinitely.
  • Use a password for confidential material and send it through a separate channel.

Build a controlled delivery

Add the files or folder, give the transfer a recognizable name, choose access and expiry, and review the readiness summary before upload. After the transfer is ready, copy only the public link.

Recipients can download everything as a ZIP or choose individual files. The sender can revoke the transfer from the same browser that created it.

Put the workflow into practice

Arrange source documents, select the pages you need, and create one PDF locally in your browser. Review the result before choosing any optional next step.
