About changing PDF page size
A PDF page has a physical width and height measured in points. Changing page size creates a new sheet geometry; it is different from compressing the file or simply hiding content with a crop boundary.
A4 is common internationally, while Letter is standard in the United States and Canada. Legal, Tabloid, Executive and ISO A-series sizes support different print and document workflows. Custom dimensions are useful for labels, books, portfolios and production specifications.
Contain keeps every source edge visible. Cover fills the target and can clip an edge. Actual size retains physical scale where possible, while stretch fills the exact rectangle and may distort content. Review mixed portrait and landscape pages before downloading.

Contain preserves all content inside the target area, cover fills the area and may crop, actual size keeps the original scale where possible, and stretch fills both dimensions but can distort content.
No. Page-size changes affect sheet dimensions and placement; Compress PDF targets file size.
