About filling PDF forms

Preserve interactive fields and their values

Interactive PDF forms use AcroForm fields stored inside the document. Text fields, multiline areas, checkboxes, radio groups and dropdowns can keep both a field name and a selected value.

The studio writes responses back into those real fields and updates their visible appearances. It does not merely draw text over the page. The exported PDF is reopened to verify its page and field counts.

Some PDFs only look like forms because they contain printed lines or boxes. Others use XFA, a different form technology that is not supported by this browser workflow. The studio identifies when no supported AcroForm fields are available.
