Clear answers before conversion
What is RTF?
Rich Text Format is an editable document format that stores text, paragraph and character formatting in a broadly supported text-based structure.
Does RTF to PDF preserve formatting?
The native document renderer preserves supported styling and page structure. Font substitution or unsupported RTF controls can still change layout.
Are fonts preserved?
RTF often references fonts rather than embedding them. If a font is unavailable, the renderer substitutes a compatible font.
Can I convert large RTF files?
Files up to 50 MB are accepted. Complex documents can take longer and may reach the conversion timeout.
Is conversion private?
RTF files are uploaded temporarily to the Nexynto conversion service because a native document renderer is required.
Why can output look different?
Different fonts, printer metrics, page settings or unsupported controls can change wrapping and pagination.
