Match, Repeat or Cycle Overlay Pages Across a PDF

Page mapping answers two questions: which base pages receive an overlay, and which overlay page is paired with each selected base page.

01

Reuse the first overlay page

First-to-all mapping applies overlay page one to every targeted base page. It is the simplest choice for letterhead, a border or a standard approval layer.

02

Match corresponding pages

Matching pairs base page one with overlay page one, page two with page two, and so on. If the overlay is shorter, its last page is reused.

Review the transition where reuse begins so that an unintended page-specific design is not repeated.

03

Cycle a repeating set

Cycle mode repeats the overlay sequence from the beginning. A two-page front/back design can therefore repeat across a longer base document.

04

Separate mapping from targeting

Targeting all, odd, even or custom pages decides where overlays appear. Mapping decides which overlay page appears on each target.

Custom ranges are useful for sections such as 1-3, 6 and 9-12.
